I am a Fine Artist, Art Tutor and the Artist in Residence at St Michael’s Tower, Gloucester. I run art workshops on behalf of the Gloucester Civic Trust. I also teach private art lessons to individuals. My art workshops are open to people of all abilities who are interested in learning techniques and improving their skills. Prior to this I ran weekly adult art classes for 2 years whilst working in my studio and exhibiting my paintings. In 2000 I trained as a Teacher of Art and Design at Birmingham and taught in schools for 5 years. I also worked as a Moderator of Expressive Arts GCSE. In 2009 I co-authored a book for the AQA Exam Board on Expressive Arts. I graduated in Fine Art BA Hons from the Nottingham Trent University in 1999. I spent some of my degree studying at the Art Academy in Den Haag, Holland. My 1995-96 Art Foundation course was at Cheltenham Art College and I was taught by renowned artist and author Mick Maslen. The tuition I experienced at Cheltenham had a big influence on my artistic development and still informs my work today.
